With rumors running rampant for months regarding Sting signing with WWE, we reported earlier this week that there is a feeling within the company now that he won’t appear on WWE television for a long time.

In what may be a further indication of this fact, Sting is being advertised to make an extremely rare appearance on the independent circuit at a Pro Championship Wrestling show in Oaklawn, Illinois.

PCW in Chicago sent out the following press release:

April 9th, 2014 Chicago, IL

Pro Championship Wrestling (PCW) is proud to announce today that The Icon Sting will be making a very rare appearance at PCW’s Dream Night 13. This event will take place Saturday June 21st, 2014 at The Oaklawn Pavilion 9401 Oak Park Ave. Oaklawn, IL. Doors will open at 5:30 PM and Bell Time will be 6:30 PM.

General Admission tickets are only $15.00. To meet The Icon Sting you must purchase a Super Ticket for $125.00, which includes one general admission ticket, one photo opp and one item signed (additional autographs will cost $40.00 per item and are available only with the purchase of a Superticket).

For more information or to purchase advance GA Tickets or Supertickets go to www.pcwwrestling.net or Hellfire Comics at the Chicago Ridge Mall (708)-423-FIRE.

PCW, Expect The Unexpected.

There hasn’t been any sort of timeline given regarding Sting’s possible WWE debut or what his role with the company will be, but this advertised appearance seems to indicate that we may not see “The Icon” in a WWE ring until at least late June.

Watch a special message from Sting about his PCW appearance in the video below:

-In other news, it seems that Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior were able to bury the hatchet regarding their bad blood and past differences that they had with one another at some point this weekend.

In light of the Ultimate Warrior’s untimely death, it is good to see that two of professional wrestling’s biggest mega-stars were able to come to reconciliation.

Hulk Hogan posted the following photo to Facebook on his Hogan’s Beach Shop account of himself, Warrior, and Pat Patterson shortly after Warrior’s promo on Raw the night before his death:
